Radian recently published a white paper on Third-Party O&M Fleet Management for Residential Service Portfolios that highlighted strategies for managing cost risk in residential fleets. Comprehensive fleet management offerings address these issues but depend on integrated IT systems to manage the fleet for optimal financial performance and customer satisfaction.
Radian’s asset performance management software, Lens, efficiently scales up fleet management operations. It does this by combining an integrated set of critical features:
- Direct data connections provide performance data and PPA invoicing continuity;
- Collaborative access lets in-house or third-party call centers provide first-level customer support while seamlessly escalating technical issues to the asset management team;
- Integration to field service execution packages such as ServiceMax allow for immediate escalation of issues that require on-site resolution; and
- Recurring and reminder features prompt for completion of contractual and customer-facing tasks.
With fixed, contracted revenue streams, investor returns are directly and immediately impacted by disjointed systems and inefficient procedures. Managing a residential fleet requires both the skills of operating larger solar installations and a platform that scales up so that the team doesn’t have to.
